5 habits of highly successful people who got there despite odds

IWill user

Have you wondered why some people despite dealing with too many painful events and issues in life, still manage to get successful? Have you ever thought of these people to have gotten lucky? Or that they are gifted with some extraordinary powers that you don't have?

Well, this article breaks this myth! It's the habits that they have developed, acquired, built over time that help them get success, despite odds. And the good news is YOU CAN DEVELOP THEM TOO!

So here are the 5 habits that help them move on, focus, and achieve great personal and professional heights!

1.  They don't blame themselves

No matter how simple this sounds, but successful people always know that things can be fixed, failures can be reversed, hard work can move things, being aware of what went wrong can guide them to what can go right. They are analytical, they are mindful of their mistakes but they don't endlessly blame themselves. They understand that doing so would put the responsibility of success further away from them. Meaning, if you don't have it in you in the first place, how do you ever get it done?

Second, they understand that blaming and pitying self depletes energy and takes time, effort, focus, strength away from learning what went wrong and improving it!

Hence if you have been through failures. Become analytical. Find your mistakes too but don't oversimplify this by blaming yourselves! This will deplete you emotionally and stop you from taking action!

2. They are action-oriented

Even when things go wrong, they know the only thing that can turn things around is the right action. And to get to the right action, you first need to be in an active stage. Hence successful people learn on the go, experiment quickly, and move on if one idea doesn't work, to try another. They know time is valuable and they know their efforts will meet success eventually.

3. They have inbuilt time for pauses, for reflection

It's important to think things through too. It's important to take an action and then reflect on whether it worked or not, if not then why? what can be done to fixing it? Or simply reflecting on if they are happy and if not, what is missing? What can they do to bring happiness to them? They have time for self-care, for reflection. They know they are the assets, the only asset in fact that can bring happiness and success!

4. They study, are always keen to learn things

They are always learning, always seeking information, always seeking knowledge. They know things can never be perfect hence they invest time in knowing what is unknown, learning from others, seeking help when needed.

5. They don't ignore their mental health. They have a process for Self-care and love

If they have been through a trauma, a tough time, they are quick to seek help, rest, slow down, speak to a professional psychologist, journal, meditate. Depending on what works for them, they have a coping strategy, and even when they don't feel like, they still push themselves to get the help... They believe in self-love, self-healing, and not letting things around their emotional health escalate so much that it breaks them!
